"When my son was 18 months old, I quickly realized that parents are the most important teachers. I spent countless hours scouring stores for tools to teach the alphabet, teach counting and teach reading. When I couldn't find one kit that did it all, I began creating my own teaching tools that matched some of the tools I had purchased. My son was reading by the age of three and parents at nursery school were asking how I had taught him. It was at this point that I learned "matching" was a key pre-reading skill for young children.
I began structuring focus groups with moms and playgroups to develop an all-in-one learning kit for toddlers based on the matching method of teaching. Using the knowledge I gained from the focus groups, I evolved the teaching tools into a coordinated set and called it Teach My Toddler. The overwhelming success of Teach My Toddler in helping parents give their children a head start had me fielding demand after demand for a kit that could be used with babies and another one for preschoolers. I have continued my passion and created the Teach My series including Teach My Baby, Teach My Toddler, Teach My Preschooler, Sections by Teach My and Add-ons by Teach My. In my case, necessity truly was the mother of invention!"

One thing as a parent that I worry about, is if my child is in line developmentally with other kids their age. Ben Jr learned how to write his full name by the age of 3. Doug who is 4, is still learning. Are kids supposed to know all their letters and numbers before they start school?? Are they supposed to be able to write their name before then too??
Each day we sit down with Doug and help him write. He knows all his letters and numbers, and can even read a little, but he is having some difficulty with writing out his name.
When I heard of Teach My products, I knew I had to try them with Doug. I was sent the Teach My Preschooler kit, and Teach My Preschooler The Time kit to review with him.
Instantly he was very excited to see what was in the box.
Right away we sat down with the drawing board and letters, and had Doug start practicing his name. In the kit were stencil like letters to write over so he could form the letters properly. He had a ton of fun. After he wrote his own name a couple of times, he moved on to writing his brothers, and aunts names.
Besides the drawing board, the kit includes
10 Readers
60 Flashcards
1 Flashcard Reward Tin
1 Flashcard Holder
1 Magic Drawing Board
78 Print Transparencies & Printing Guide
101 Train Flashcards
3 Posters
2 Flip-Books
Foam Numbers, Counters and Equation Signs
Teaching Guide
Storage case
We also reviewed the Teach My Preschooler Time Kit. That was a lot of fun to use too. It came with-
Book
Teaching Clock
Digital Time Maker
Wipe-Off Crayons
Teaching Guides
Storage Bag
Doug had a great time telling us the numbers on the digital type display. He still has a hard time with the analog like clock. He will get there though!!
Teach My has kits for all different age groups, and learning skills. They would make a great gift for any young child!!
