Diono Radian®RXT Car Seat Review

As a parent of two kids, you learn quickly what you must have for your kids, and what you don't really need.  One thing you must have is a reliable and safe car seat.   

Both of my boys were premature, so we needed a special seat for them to come home before they weighed 5 lbs.  Then we needed a standard seat for infants.  After that came the toddler seat, and last but not least the booster seat.  My 8 year old complains about still having to sit in a booster seat, but he is not the right size to be without it yet.  I do not take risks with my kids!!

Life would have been much easier for us back then, if we could have bought one car seat that grew with the kids.  Luckily for parents now a days, Diono has just the thing!!  

The Radian®RXT is designed to grow with your kids from 5 lbs to 120 lbs!!  It comfortably seats rear-facing children from 5-45 lbs, forward-facing children from 20 - 80 lbs in a 5-point harness, then converts to a booster for children up to 120 lbs.  Oh and it is very comfortable!!  Doug is still young enough to need the 5-point harness, so he was beyond excited when the new seat came in!!  He jumped right in, and said it was very comfy and nice!!

Creekside Wreaths Review

Today, Creekside Farms provides quality products to many retail and ecommerce companies, having designed and offered numerous product variants to those companies in its 25-year history. Now, 3,000 wreaths are made in a matter of days, instead of weeks.

The business has grown considerably, with family at its core. Larry and Carol’s three sons and daughter-in-law now manage the business, with significant contributions coming from very long time and committed employees. My all time favorite Holiday is Christmas.  Ben and I go crazy decorating for Xmas.  We have some decorations from my grandparents, parents, and then many we have accumulated over the years.  We have a couple of artificial wreaths, but they look just like that, artificial.

Years ago, we ordered a real wreath from a fundraiser, and it was horrible.  It died after three days.  We had done all of the care instructions to the letter.  It kind of turned us off of real wreaths for awhile.

A couple of weeks ago, I read about Creekside Farms, and heard they had beautiful products that lasted.  I had to test that out!!

I was sent an absolutely gorgeous Cinnamon Pine Cone Wreath.  As soon as the wreath arrived, you have to remove it from the box.  We quickly hung it up.  Now every time you walk by it, you get a wonderful fragrance of cinnamon and eucalyptus!!

The adornments on the wreath are amazing.  Everything from the fresh cinnamon sticks to the pine cones.  

Now to answer your question, how does the wreath look now (one week later?) It looks as fresh and new as it did when it arrived.  It also still smells terrific!!

I guess you could say I am a traditionalist.  I love playing good old board games a lot more then video games.  You get more interaction with them, and to me they are just more fun and competitive.

My kids are just as competitive as I am, and love to beat Mommy and Daddy at games.  Then they remind us for the next umpteenth weeks that they beat us!!

Puzzle Battle-

Ready for a piece of the action? In this new twist, find two puzzles inside one box! The first player to put their jungle scene together will be crowned the winner! Beware: both puzzles might look identical, but colors vary and the images are reversed. It is up to you to be observant and faster than your opponent to become ruler of the jungle.

This is a terrific game to teach kids how to be more attentive and pay more attention to details.  The puzzles are very similar and it actually took my Husband and I a couple extra minutes to see the difference!!

We received the Jungle version to try out, and the pictures are very clear and colorful.  The puzzles each come with 30 pieces, so they are challenging but good for many different age groups.

There is also a Princess version as well!!

Spot it! Holidays-

Our most popular game is all decked out for the holidays! The cards come in a travel-friendly tin, perfect for stocking stuffers!  From Snowman to Candy Cane, each card is decorated with an assortment of festive symbols. What better way to spend the holidays than playing Spot it! with your friends and family!

We have a couple of the other Spot it! games and we love them!!

Again these are great learning games.  Each card has only one matching symbol to the other cards.  You have to be quick and find the match first!!  With the Holiday version you get fun pictures like snowmen, wreaths, snowflakes and Santa!!

Spot it! is a fun game for younger kids to learn, and older kids to compete!!!

Uncorked Ventures Wine Review

The concept for Uncorked Ventures emerged during a family vacation to South America. The Chatom Semillon is described as a clean wine.  It has a note of cream to it, and is very crisp.  We had this wine with our cupcakes (yes very fancy huh!!)

It's that time of year again!!  The carolers are warming up their voices (even me with my horrible singing voice!) Christmas decorations are hanging up everywhere.  Kids are making out their lists for Santa, and parents are cringing with how expensive it all is!!

This is my favorite time of year.  I have already started decorating!!  Small things for right now.  I do most of the decorating Thanksgiving weekend.

With Christmas right around the corner, I am already planning how to set up my house.  We do it a little differently every year.  Especially the outside lights.  We have a blast seeing how creative we can be.  Over the last 14 years, Ben and I have collected so many ornaments that we use multiple trees.  We have ornaments to mark special occasions, places we've traveled and just because they were cute.

I love how many names you can add to the ornament.  Most don't let you add more then a couple.  

I love the details of every bear, and how adorable they are.  The personalization is very neat and legible!!
