Over the last couple of years, Ben and I have really gotten into growing our own foods, and using more and more fresh ingredients.  I love the smell and taste of fresh herbs.  Dill in particular is my favorite.  I use it in everything from Potato salad, to deviled eggs!!

I love board games.  I grew up with them, and even when I was a young adult (before kids,) that was a fun pass time for Ben and I to do.  We would play for hours with our best friend Chris.  

I have taught the kids that technology is not everything, and that you can have as much fun with board games as you can with video games.

Car Valet Review And ~~Giveaway~~

Do you have an older car, or even a newer one with very few cup holders??  I am very lucky that I have a ton of cup holders in my van (12 to be exact,) but only two in my Husbands car.  With four of us, not having enough cup holders is frustrating.  I was very excited to be sent a Car Valet.  It has given us those much needed cup holders in Ben's car, and an extra spot for his phone!!

As most of you know, I have two boy children (well three if you count the husband!!)  Ben Jr is almost 10 and Doug is 6.  Shower/bath time is NEVER a problem with Doug.  He loves it.  Ben Jr has reached that age where it is a fight to get him in the tub.

I think pretty much everyone knows about the Snuggie!!  My kids have had one each for a couple years, and they love them.  They wrap up in them nice and tight and watch a TV show or movie.  They also use them a lot when they don't feel well.

Blacksocks Cashmere Men's Socks Review And ~~Giveaway~~

Using our own savings, we are careful with our money. We make the same errors as other start-ups, but generally with far fewer losses. The first sales have to help us meet costs. In June 1999, BLACKSOCKS goes online and launches the sockscription. At the end of the year, it has just over 1,000 customers.

My Husband Ben works two jobs.  With both, he is on his feet the bulk of the time.  He also has to wear work boots for both.  By the end of the day, Ben's toes are quite tired and in all honesty, his feet stink!!  With one job he has to wear black socks, the other white.  I find that he has more trouble with cotton socks then with other types.  His big feet wear the socks out pretty quickly.  He is a size 13, and those socks are very hard to come by.

It goes to show how used to my job Ben is when I say "I need to photograph your feet," and he says "sure!!"

He now thinks of himself as a professional Foot Model!!!

Ben said the socks are very soft, and very comfortable.  They breath well, and so far no holes!!!

National Pfeffernüsse Day Is Dec 23rd. Cookies Review And ~~Giveaway~~

I love Christmas!!  I am not the kind of person who gets excited for receiving gifts (in all honesty it makes me a little uncomfortable,) but I love to give them, I love the Christmas lights and trees, and I absolutely love the goodies!!  

My Mom makes the best Peanut Butter fudge, my Mother in Law makes awesome breads and barks, and I make a mean Lemon bar!!  When I worked for the Postal Service and Newspaper, I had awesome costumers who would make me tons of treats at Christmas.  That is probably why I have a little extra bulk!!  lol

One customer used to make me these awesome German cookies that were gingerbread with fruit.  Oh they were so good.  I haven't had the cookies in years, and I can't find a recipe anywhere.

When I was asked to review some of Bahlsen’s cookies, how could I say no!!!  I was sent their limited holiday edition iced gingerbread cookies, and chocolate-covered iced gingerbread cookies!!!

Don't these look absolutely delicious!!!

I like how both cookies have the gingerbread taste, but not over powering.  They are both very soft and no matter how hard you try, you can't eat just one!! Both are very yummy, and very much gone in this house!!

As I said before, these are a limited holiday treat, so hit your local Shaw's, Stop & Shop, Krogers, or many other chain grocery stores to get yours!!  You can find a list of stores here.
